舟っこ流しに英語アナウンスで参加しました

今年の舟っこ流しでは、9つの地域と団体から9舟が参加。色とりどりの手作りの舟が流され、仕掛けられた花火とともに燃えていく様に、多くの観衆が魅了されました。開会行事及びアナウンスは、日本語、続いて翻訳された英語アナウンスがなされ、会員もかなり練習して臨んだようです。Boat Floating Festival is a local festival in which neighborhood communities make decorated boats and flow them and give fire to console the deceased of the year. This annual event is held on August 16th, the last day of Obon, on the bank of Kitakami River near Meiji Bridge.
